WEHL Girls


The WEHL is excited to announce the re-launching of the Girls U14 & U16 programs for this coming 2018 fall season. If as a parent or player you have interest in helping restart the program please read on and take action for the ability of the WEHL to offer a girls program is dependent on your participation. The WEHL is focused on improving the overall health and growth of Wisconsin WIAA High School Hockey and to support this mission we offer a pre/post season that has a balance of practices and games. The new WEHL Girl’s Program is designed specifically to support where girl’s high school hockey currently has a void.

General Information

Outlined below are the parameters required to have a girls program along with general information including the regional boundaries by age group.

  • Registration period of June 1 to July 1, 2018 will determine if girls program is a go for this year. Each region to meet a required minimum of 17 paid registered participants at $100.00 non-refundable registration fee due within the registration period. If registration numbers do not meet the described minimum requirements the girls program will be a no go for 2018. If the program would not move forward only then will refunds be given.
  • Cost for season is $425.00 for the 14U’s and $550.00 for the 16U’s (registration fee applied to this cost).
  • 6 practices @ 75 minutes each

Games (8-10 games per team for the 14U’s and 14 games for the 16U’s is the goal. Teams from Illinois and other areas are being contacted to participate but have not been confirmed to date).

Goal is to have the following game format:

2 festival Saturdays of 3 WEHL teams and 1 outside team = 6 games at 75-90 minutes

1 tournament weekend of 6 teams

U14 League (birth years 2004 & 2005) 5 teams



Northeast/Central (Appleton, Green Bay, Stevens Point areas)  

Southwest (Onalaska, Tomah, Viroqua areas)

Western (Eau Claire, Hudson, Menominee areas)

U16 League (birth years 2002 & 2003) 3 teams



Northeast/Central (Appleton, Green Bay, Stevens Point areas) 


Notes: If you are in an area that is not listed you are eligible to register in the nearest region to your home. Players are not allowed to play up you must participate within your birth year league.
